Landscaping Portfolio – Dry Creekbeds

Dry Creekbeds are a good way to add visual interest to the landscape by suggesting the presence of water, and by adding texture and elevation change to your landscape. They are an excellent way to address drainage and erosion issues, and are easier to maintain than a French drain. Even if you do not have drainage problems they can be an attractive addition to your garden.

Types of Dry Creekbeds Materials

River Rock and Bluestone

Dry creekbeds are most commonly created by using smooth rounded River Rock or Bluestone in various sizes – from small cobble to large boulders – to create a natural looking streambed. Plantings along the edges enhance the natural appearance of the creekbed.
